Summary:
- Conduct research, comparisons and evaluations for different digital solutions in the retail industry.
- Responsible for exploring potential solution options and making a clear recommendation by evaluating the fit to business need
- Responsible for the design and development of digital solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.
- Facilitate discussions with both business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision & solution that meets project needs.
- Lead the collaborative assessment, planning, implementation, and integration of data handling.
- Design integration methodologies, APIs, and tool chain for the ecosystem.
- Vendor selection through RFPs/RFQs for IT implementations.
- Defining and maintaining the solution architecture to enable successful delivery including application, data, integration, infrastructure, operations, and security architecture.
- Planning and estimating cost/duration of solution architecture activities necessary for successful completion of the project, including stakeholder consultation and review cycles, and ensuring those plans are reflected in project plans;
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development using a general-purpose programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, Go, Rust, and/or Swift).
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills – demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills
- Able to define and document high-level solution and system architectures and explain to different stakeholders how various components of the architecture will interact.
- Strong public, conversational, and written communication with demonstrated experience in API design, client interfacing, system integration, and different technology protocols.
- Able to estimate the level of effort and duration for entire projects
- Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA).
- Deep understanding and experience with modern integration architecture approaches.
- Experience working with both on-premises and major cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Understanding of information security and privacy concepts, including public key infrastructure, certificate-based authentication, network security, social engineering, and multifactor authentication. · Experience designing for container-based architecture and micro services. · Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent is recommended. · Team player spirit, easily integrate with cross function teams, using effective communication skills to Influence other with proposed solutions Skills
