 Job Summary:

  • To oversee all mechanical works covered in AMC signed with various contractors. 
  • To oversee mechanical engineering Pre-Contract design and Pre-Contract construction and DLP stage. 
  • To participate in technical meetings and to provide robust and optimum solutions for technical issues arising during the performance of AMC, design and construction phases of projects. 
  • To provide technical directives and recommendations that adds value to the project. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Attend to all mechanical faults, emergency and reactive maintenance services reported and advised. 
  • Facilitate coordination and communication with Groups, to support smooth day-to-day and operations and improvement activities. 
  • Ensure full compliance with maintenance and facilities management services as per company procedures. 
  • Create, review and approve procedures as directed by Quality Systems and follow quality control procedures. 
  • Participate in information generation related to the development in collaboration with all stakeholders. 
  • Review mechanical detail design comments from other stakeholders and communicate to all relevant parties including design consultants and contractors. 
  • Verify and ensure incorporation of relevant design comments in the construction of functional work. 
  • Oversight management and providing directions to the AMC for maintaining compliance of mechanical design specifics with project’s development brief, design guidelines and statutory Authority’s regulations and codes. 
  • Carryout technical evaluations of AMC performance related to mechanical engineering discipline. 
  • Attend all regular Technical coordination meetings during AMC performance. 
  • Oversee and direct AMC team as regards major capital mechanical plant and equipment to ensure timely approvals and deliveries. 
  • Lead AMC Engineering workshops and contribute towards robust and optimum technical solutions that adds value to the project. 
  • Provide technical support as and when requested by Director/Manager during projects construction phase. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized accredited University 
  • A membership with internationally recognized Chartered institute is required.  
  • Grade “A” certification from MME Committee for Accreditation of Engineers & Consultancy Offices. 
  • Continuous training through attending Seminars, workshops, papers writing and pursuance of any other relevant certification. 

Experience: 

  • minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in building services engineering of Maintenance services or Facilities Management Company. 
  • A proven, successful track record of consistent achievement in maintenance services or Facilities Management Company. 
  • Working knowledge of the GCC countries. 

Skills: 

  • General knowledge of computer programs relevant to the departmental requirements including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point Presenation, etc.)  
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD will be an added advantage. 
  • Excellent reading, writing, speaking and presentation skills in English Language. 
  • Proficiency in Arabic language would be a definite asset.
