 Job Role:

To manage the fresh team of merchandisers and stockers to deliver excellent, freshness, availability, hygiene standards, merchandising disciplines and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the set-up of Fresh section departments in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage a team of stockers (own and 3rd party) in maintaining the shop floor achieving high levels of freshness availability, merchandising integrity ang hygiene standards.
  • Ensure the level of customer service within the category footprint is of a high standard and any stockers / 3rd party associates’ interaction with customers is monitored for coaching.
  • Manage the set-up of the departments in accordance with Company standards and coach the teams to deliver consistent standards of display.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at the service counters and monitor and give feedback regularly to drive a consistent standard of professional, friendly customer interaction.
  • Ensure adherence to company processes in delivering a safe and legal shop floor, compliant with baladiya requirements and a safe working environment for colleagues and customers.
  • Review process adoption by colleagues and streamline working practices to make the category more effective and minimize customer disruption.
  • Organize replenishment to achieve maximum availability ahead of peak trading times and reduce stocking interference whilst the store is busy.
  • Place orders as directed by the Section manager in order to maximize availability of product whilst minimizing inventory.
  • Collate daily wastage/damage figures for onward communication to the Area Manager, advise Section and Branch Managers of the wastage trends / products and take action to resolve,
  • Help train and coach the Al Meera team to achieve their own personal ambitions of development.
  • Keep legal records as required to a high standard and for easy access.
  • To ensure the control of inventory through accurate order process storage and periodic stock takes.
  • Coach and mentor all team members, especially direct reports for performance and work closely with them during the various stages of the performance cycle (goal setting, performance evaluations etc.)
  • Perform all other duties as delegated by the Section Manager or as per business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field preferable, although not mandatory given relevant previous retail experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fresh in quality retail organization.
  • Prvious Middle East /GCC experience is preferable.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and visual merchandising acumen a must passionate fresh food.
  • Strong team management and process skills financial analytical knowledge in fresh
  • Good communicator and influencer, able to liaise with more senior people.
