Job Descriptions:

  • Assist in the receipt of goods and equipment into the stores and for use by the merchandising team.
  • Operate a safe and secure environment in which to receive goods ad equipment into new build stores highlighting any breaches of a safe and secure environment.
  • Organize the deliveries that have been booked in and those that arrive ad hoc to ensure they are checked in according to the merchandisers needs.
  • Input the receipt of goods and equipment onto the inventory system accurately recording any variances to invoice and highlighting to the Receiving Supervisor.
  • Check off deliveries against invoices to ensure that all goods and equipment being charged are delivered.
  • Check the date codes against expected expiration dates on all coded products and reject  those that are short-coded.
  • Check for any damages on goods or equipment and adjust invoice and data input accordingly.
  • Assist in the organization of the warehouse and chilled storage facilities to accept deliveries and to aid future  merchandising and replenishment. Ensure the compliance of this space.
  • Notify the merchandising teams of the arrival of their product and/or equipment and assist int the relocation to the merchandising section or storage area.
  • Perform all other duties as delegated by the Receiving Supervisor, or as per business requirements.


  • Basic Education ( good reading and writing skills ) – secondary school education.


  • Minimum 1 year of merchandising experience ( goods receiving role ) with a quality retail chain.


  • Awareness of Almeera receipt of goods processes and the equipment receipt process.
  • Strong attention to detail, assertiveness and determination of character.
