Job Purpose:

Financial Controller in Commercial Department is responsible for managing the entire financial reporting process alongside with Finance. This is a management position that is acquired through years of experience in other financial positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Commercial and Finance to create the base for sales and margin budget and assign targets by incorporating the strategy
  • Monitors and highlights the sales performance versus budget and last year at all products and procurement levels
  • Establish supplier performance and income tracker to support commercial teams to achieve their targets.
  • Monitor annual negotiation process and provide tracker for completion and progression.
  • Defines the process of keeping records of all debit note movements and be the focal voice in between Finance and Commercial
  • Develop the supplier playbook (score card) across all financial measures such as sales, purchase and margin.
  • Provide timely response to commercial audits.
  • Liase with Finance regarding the accuracy of rebate base calculations and understand the impact of potential changes in calculation.
  • Support categories to improve the clarity of statements in terms and conditions contracts.
  • Develop control mechanisms to ensure fix income within commercial is issued timely and accurately.
  • Provide all necessary data for new ways of working in managing categories
  • Manages analysts across commercial categories to ensure the accuracy of price changes.
  • Select all price basket items across all categories in parallel to pricing strategy
  • Manages 3rd party or in-house price check process
  • Manages analysts in commercial categories to change and maintain prices inline with the strategic price policy
  • Deliver price index reporting of our prices comparing competitors, identify and give continuous feedback in problematic areas

Qualification

  • BSc/BA in economics, Finance, Accounting or Business faculties
  • Holding a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant and IFRS competency and knowledge will be a plus
  • Excellent in English and Arabic is a plus

Experience:

  • 5+ years of work experience in accounting, finance and reporting functions
  • Having experience in international business and reporting (IFRS) management
  • Expertise in the principles of finance and financial modeling
  • Good planning, analytical, budgeting and business presentation skills
  • Computer literacy with good command of English
  • Experience in IT/Software, ERP implementation
